Well Sadie is moving on. She is no longer a junior high schooler, she is high school bound. Sadie is a little nervous, we keep trying to tell her its going to be fun, but she's not really buying it. Oh man now we have two in high school. What the heck I'm so old. I hope she meets and finds some good new friends and enjoys her high school years. Time will tell but first we have to get through summer.

Field Trips

Okay so having my hours cut at work wasn't all bad. I have been available to chaperon a couple field trips. I went with Bailey's high school to a choir festival, it was pretty cool that Bailey wasn't to embarrassed to have me there. Out of all the schools I have to say Highlands was the best. I also was able to go with Augi's class to Organ Stop Pizza. I remember going when I was little and thinking it was really neat but it is even neater now. Maybe it had something to do with being there with my boy. My name was drawn for Madi's Oceanography Trip. Oh yeah a field trip to San Diego's Camp Surf with Madi. It was so much fun, we had classes during the day and skits at night. Our cabin would take nightly walks on the beach then go back to the cabin for girl talk. I had lots of fun going on these field trips.

I got tagged!
I got tagged!
Thanks to Nicole I got tagged!
Rules:
1. Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
Okay here are 7 facts about me......Yikes!
1. I absolutely love the beach. Everything about it, the sand between my toes, riding a wave all the way in, the smells and sounds, and of course the natural beauty of it all. I don't know how to explain it, other then it feels like home. I feel so relaxed and at peace at the beach,I never want to leave.
2. I also love to read. Twilight Series being at the top of my list, I basically read anything that captures me. Michelle Ashman Bell,Betsy Brannon Green, Stephenie Meyers, and Clair M. Poulson are a few of my favorite authors.
3. I could eat chips and yummy salsa everyday.
4. Deserts should be after every meal. Ice cream, chocolate, cookies or cakes. I'm not picky . Their all favorite.
5. I am a huge Grey's Anatomy fan.
6. Another thing I don't know that I'd call it a fact, but I really enjoy sewing and scrapbooking. I am not very good at either but oh how fun it is to create something especially when it turns out cute.
7. Saved the best for last. I love my family. My 3 girls and son are the best. You never fully know what joy being a parent is until your there. You have crazy ups and downs, running all over from one place to the next, but then you have sweet moments when tucking them in bed or sitting next to each other just talking that are priceless. My husband, how did I get so lucky. He is truly an awesome husband and dad. Thank you for all you do for us and the way you love me.
Garrett, Bailey , Sadie, Madi, Augi and Amy you've been tagged.

Girls Softball!!
Madison had her first softball game on Monday. She was the starting Pitcher. She did really good, especially since this is her first year playing. Girls softball is new for us. Which is kind of weird considering how many girls we have. Anyways, I guess I was thinking her game would be similar to Augi's, except with girls. Well it wasn't at all the same, the opposing team were actually cheerleaders as well, when they weren't playing. It might not have been to bad except for the fact that they said the same cheer over and over again. Honestly it was even driving Madi's team crazy. With some good hits and some nice plays, the cheerleaders took this game. But it was close. We are looking forward to more games and watching Madi master her pitching skills. And another fun day at the fields.

Go Rockhounds!
Augi was drafted by the Rockhounds. Doesn't that sound cool to say "drafted". He has been having practices at least twice a week, they won there first scrimmage. The first real game is tomorrow, we are super excited for baseball season. The games have always been fun to watch, but now they're getting exciting. The boys have grown a lot since last season and are learning more each day so "GO ROCKHOUNDS!". Here a little story to remind us to always wear protective gear even when practicing. Garrett was pitching balls to Augi a week ago and he asked me to play catcher. Let me set the stage for you... I have never played catcher like you do in baseball...well needless to say Garrett was throwing the balls pretty hard, I was scared down there with the bat swinging and the ball whizzing everywhere. Well it happened ( to be expected not wearing any protective gear) all I remember was Garrett getting ready to throw the pitch. Then I was on the ground holding my head. It smacked the left side of my head above my ear. I found out later Augi tipped the ball, then the ball bounced off my head landing some 50 ft away. I got a nice little concussion. I don't play catcher anymore not until I have some head protection at least.

Baseball Tryouts
Wow!! I am doing a terrible job with these posts. August had his first tryout, for minor league baseball on Monday. Garrett and I sat on the sidelines watching and waiting for his turn. I have to say I think Garrett's seemed to be more nervous than Augi. As we sat there he counted down until he was up. Augi's sweet dad worried about everything as we sat there waiting for our son's turn. He kept saying, "Will he remember to run up on the grounders and shorts, will he throw straight and hard, he's never hit from one of those pitching machines, will he be able to hit one? The balls seem to be a little high." It was very cute to see such a concerned dad. At last its was his turn and I believe Garrett was sweating and sitting on the edge of his seat. Grrrrr...... Augi proved to be just like his dad (minus the nerves)and he did a great job. We'll find out who drafted him next week. I am so proud of both of my boys, and very excited about baseball season starting up again.
